Financial AidFinancial Aid
Higher education doesn’t have to be a financial burden on the cosmetologist-in-training and his/her family. Why? Because the federal government offers more than $150 billion each year to assist millions of students in financing their educational goals. Prospective students can locate and apply for scholarships and student loans for cosmetology school at any number of private and public institutions.
However, to receive federal aid from the government, you must file the free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Government administered student loans for cosmetology school are only awarded to students who file the FAFSA. In addition, governmental grants for cosmetology school can only be awarded to students who apply for federal aid.
What’s the difference?
Student loans must be repaid. Federal grants are gifts that don’t require repayment.
Student Loans For Cosmetology School

The federal government offers the best options for repayment, including a non-interest accruing grace period while the student is still attending school. File your FAFSA today to determine your eligibility!
